In the evening at around 8:30 p.m., a man in the parking lot of Kaufpark Eiche on Landsberger Chaussee behind the Berlin border in Barnim, Brandenburg, drove his car around at high speed, according to several witnesses.

The man’s wife and child are said to have been in the vehicle. After a short time, the woman became ill, an ambulance from ASB Berlin was alerted and the woman was treated in the ambulance. The man is said to have tried to get into the ambulance several times, which the rescuers prevented.

After the man kept harassing the paramedics, the police were alerted. The officers who arrived from Berlin and Brandenburg were able to calm the situation down but found that the man was under the influence of alcohol. Since the driver refused a subsequent breath alcohol test, he was taken into custody.

There, a blood test from the man should provide information about his alcohol level. The officers of the Brandenburg police are now investigating the man for driving under intoxicants and harassing the emergency services.
