Man (71) dies in tragic accident at greenhouse company

At the greenhouse company on the border of the Reigerlostraat with the Beernemsteenweg, the man ended up in a water basin just after six o’clock in the evening. The emergency services arrived en masse, but for the unfortunate man all help came too late.

Many resources, such as divers and the mosquito helicopter, were deployed, but it could only be determined that the man had died. The police have launched an investigation into the exact circumstances in which the man died. But everything points to a tragic accident.

The victim is a 71-year-old man who often came to do odd jobs at the company. He was repairing a tube.
