Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskiy of Italian first division soccer club Atalanta Bergamo has started an auction of jerseys for all his club’s players.
The aim is to collect donations to buy medicine and food for Ukrainian refugees.
Malinovskiy and his wife Roksana also started selling the Ukrainian flag to fund an initiative to help Ukrainian refugees.
Malinovskiy had tied a brace in the Europa League intermediate round at Olympiacos Piraeus (3-0) on Thursday evening, showing a T-shirt under his jersey with the inscription in English (“No war in Ukraine!”). Malinovskiy has been under contract with Atalanta Bergamo since 2019.
