After 18 days without a game, Telstar goes down in Leeuwarden

Telstar lost 2-0 in an exhibition game against SC Cambuur today. It was the first time in a long time that Andries Jonker’s team played a game again. Due to storm Eunice, Telstar has been out of action since February 11.

Both the home game against NAC Breda like the away game against ADO The Hague didn’t work for the past few weeks. This to the great dissatisfaction of trainer Andries Jonker, who was therefore happy to get back into action with his team.

In Leeuwarden, many Telstar players were allowed to make minutes. Ronald Koeman Jr. was again between the posts and Tom Overtoom participated in the entire second half. The game against the Eredivisie team from Friesland was finally decided thanks to a goal by Michael Breij and an own goal by Anwar Bensabouh. Both goals came in the first half.

Telstar will play another official match this Friday. The opponent in Velsen-South is TOP Oss. This match can be followed live via NH Radio.
