A motorist was injured this afternoon in a collision with a truck on Schagerweg (N248) in Middenmeer. The driver of the car was trapped and was taken to hospital.
The car and truck left the road as a result of the collision. The car ended up in the ditch and the truck partly ended up in the ditch. The truck driver and his co-driver were taken to hospital for a check-up.
Several ambulances, fire trucks and an air ambulance were called. The current condition of the motorist, truck driver and co-driver is unknown.

The road is and will remain closed for a while. An investigation is currently being conducted by the police. The debris on the road surface still has to be removed.
“From the Waardbrug to the Schagerbrug in Middenmeer, the road is still closed at the moment. It is not yet known for how long the road will remain closed,” said a police spokesman.
