The FSV deservedly lost the first leg 1-2. In the second leg, however, the Mainz presented themselves fundamentally changed – and deliver a gala. You have to get through a fright.

With a temporarily intoxicating performance, FSV Mainz 05 has reached the Conference League. The team of coach Bo Henriksen won 4: 1 (3: 1) against the Norwegian record champion Rosenborg Trondheim in the second leg of the qualification. The FSV had lost the first leg 1-2 a week ago.

Stefan Bell (28th), Jae-Sung Lee (43.), Nelson Weiper (44.) and Nadiem Amiri (58th) met for the Mainz, for whom Dino Islamovic had only achieved the interim compensation in over long distances.

Who the FSV meets in the leagueapse will decide in Monaco this Friday at 1:00 p.m. Six opponents are drawn to the Mainz. Three games play the 05s at home, three away. A few hours before the kick -off, there was a good news for the FSV. The 05s announced that they would extend the Weiper Treaty, which will expire in the coming summer.

It was also Weiper who had the first chances against Trondheim. After a corner kick, however, he did not get the ball right (8th), then the 20-year-old narrowly moved (15th). The home side stayed on the pusher and rewarded themselves through Bell, who carried the margin into the goal after a header from Lee.

Rosenborg, in turn, hardly appeared aggressively. Islamović, who had already hit in the first leg, equalized out of nowhere. After the shock, the Mainz had to collect themselves. But then Lee and Weiper provided pure ecstasy with their double strike shortly before the break.

The Mainz remained dominant even after the change of sides and were looking for the preliminary decision, which Amiri then brought up perfectly. After that, the team of coach Bo Henriksen even had other occasions, while Rosenborg only really created pressure in the final phase.

The game to read in the ticker.

90.+2 – Ending. Out of. That was it in the Mainz Mewa Arena.

90th minute – There is two minutes of stoppage time.

85th minute – Hardly anything happens in this final phase.

80th minute – Caci gets his deserved applause. After a very strong performance, he goes out of the square for Nikolas.

76. Minute of play – Curious situation: Caci hits a strong flank from right over to the left penalty area, where the tangvik, which has run out, only has to go for Lee – but is too surprised and sets the ball next to the goal.
