Magath expects personnel consequences at Bayern

According to former Munich coach Felix Magath, FC Bayern’s sobering season will have personal consequences.

“I am sure that we will see that something is happening at FC Bayern. We can be sure that the summer break will be well filled,” said Magath on the TV station “Bild”. After the 1: 3 against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, the German soccer record champion is threatened with a season without a title.

The focus of criticism was mainly CEO Oliver Kahn. Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic also has to put up with uncomfortable questions about the composition of the Munich squad.

“There will certainly be consequences,” said Magath, who coached Bayern from 2004 to 2007. The club will “reposition itself in one or the other position,” said the 69-year-old. There will also be some changes in the squad, Magath added.
