“Hard Time” ended
BTSV defender is back: This is what he says about his comeback

Eintracht Braunschweig draws hope: Lukas Frenkert, an important part of the defense, returns. The defender talks about his comeback.
Frenkert had been out since the end of August with a torn muscle bundle and missed a total of seven league games. On the last second division match day against VfL Bochum (0-2) he was at least on the bench again, but was not used. That changed against Paderborn.
“I’m very happy to be back on the pitch with the boys, training every day and getting the first few minutes of the game,” said Frenkert, during whose playing time Eintracht didn’t concede a goal against SCP. “It feels very good. Especially when you haven’t had any minutes for so long. Now I’m looking forward to everything that follows,” he says.
The test match during the international break came at the “right time” for him after he had steadily increased his workload over the past few weeks. “I tolerated it well,” he explained after his 45-minute appearance against Paderborn. “I think I’m definitely on the right track to being able to play a lot.”
After the international break, Eintracht travel to Hertha BSC on November 21st (kick-off: 6:30 p.m.). Then Frenkert wants to help out on the pitch in a competitive game for the first time after his forced break. “We’ll see how long it lasts. I definitely feel ready and I’m really looking forward to it,” said the defender.
