Luciano Spalletti is the new coach of the Italian national team. The official announcement has arrived through a press release from the Federation, which explains that the former Napoli coach will assume the position starting from 1 September and the official presentation will take place on the occasion of the Azzurri rally, scheduled for the first few days in September, at the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano.

Spalletti, who takes over from the outgoing Roberto Mancini, has signed a contract with the FIGC until the 2026 World Cup and will make his debut on the occasion of Italy’s double commitment for the 2024 European Championship qualifiers, on 9 September against North Macedonia and on September 12 against Ukraine.
