In the first episode of the new HLN Original ‘The Greatest Master Fraudster in the World’, writer Maarten Inghel follows master con artist Piet Van Haut. In a world where fact and fiction constantly merge, it quickly becomes clear how wasteful Van Haut is with the money of others. The scammer throws no less than two thousand euros into the convertible of a restaurant owner: “I hope there is not too much wind, because otherwise all the money will fly”.
