From May 26th to 31st, 2026, Longchamp, together with 68 other renowned brands, will take part in the Hidden Treasure retrospective, organized by the Comité Colbert and presented at The Shed in New York. The exhibition honors 250 years of cultural exchange between France and the United States and presents a curated selection of iconic objects that impressively illustrate the historical and creative connections between the two countries.
Conceived as a moving cabinet of curiosities, the exhibition’s scenography draws inspiration from the world of travel and transatlantic exchange. The exhibits, presented in transport boxes, each highlight a special aspect of the history of the participating brands – be it a formative encounter, an extraordinary order or a pioneering collaboration.
In this context, Longchamp focuses on one of the Maison’s most iconic collaborations with the American designer Jeremy Scott. Presenting the Le Pliage® “Greetings from Paris”, a bag designed in 2014 to mark the opening of the Longchamp boutique on the Champs-Élysées. The model is shown in front of a backdrop that offers an overview of all the designs realized together with Jeremy Scott.
The collaboration began in 2006: at the opening of the Longchamp boutique in New York’s SoHo district, the Maison invited the renowned designer Jeremy Scott to design the limited luggage collection “This is not your Bag”. With his graphic design language inspired by pop culture and his subtly non-conformist esprit, Jeremy Scott impressed straight away and was then given free rein to reinterpret the iconic Le Pliage®.
This first encounter developed into a previously unparalleled creative collaboration, driven by the same joie de vivre and the common goal of consciously questioning the conventions of the leather goods world. Over the course of 20 years, more than 25 designs were created that transformed Le Pliage® into a canvas of artistic expression – between humor, irony and pop culture. The bags quickly became sought-after items, and their success increased significantly when they were worn by celebrities such as Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Elle Fanning, Rita Ora and Miley Cyrus. True to its commitment to design, Longchamp maintains a close relationship with Jeremy Scott to this day and is now celebrating two decades of creative friendship.
Parallel to the Comité Colbert exhibition, Longchamp will continue the celebrations at the New York flagship boutique La Maison Unique – right in the creative heart of SoHo – and invites you on an immersive journey into the world of Jeremy Scott. The boutique stages the occasion with a monumental facade design that shows the print of the designer’s first “Telephone” bag against a striking turquoise background.
Inside the boutique, some of the most iconic models are presented, tracing the evolution of the 20-year creative collaboration. Highlights include “Greetings from Paris,” “Greetings from Hollywood” and “Greetings from Paradise” – three designs inspired by travel, luggage and vintage postcards.
To mark the anniversary, Longchamp and Jeremy Scott are also presenting an exclusive new design: the Le Pliage® “Greetings from New York”. The iconic bag becomes a living homage to New York, in which the famous Manhattan skyline is staged as if in a travel photograph. The back of the bag features a handwritten-style postcard motif with a tongue-in-cheek message: “Wish you were here! Love, Jeremy.” The limited edition is available exclusively at La Maison Unique in SoHo NYC and online.
With this series of celebrations, Longchamp once again underlines its close connection to art and all forms of creative expression – from established artists to emerging talents, to whom the Maison offers targeted visibility and support. Providing a platform for creative positions perpetuates an idea of luxury that is open, authentic, vibrant and continually reinventing itself.
