Loan Amine Harit talks about the future

Amine Harit is currently on loan from FC Schalke 04 to Olympique Marseille. Now the midfielder has spoken about his near future.

In the summer of 2017, Amine Harit signed on at FC Schalke 04 and at the end of his first season with the Royal Blues he immediately celebrated runners-up. But after that, things went downhill for the club and at the same time for the performance of the Moroccan, who was also involved in a fatal traffic accident in his home country in mid-2018.

After being relegated last year, Harit finally left FC Schalke 04 on loan for France in late summer and joined Olympique Marseille. He gave the clammy S04 air with a view to the salary, because the 24-year-old is said to have recently pocketed up to 3.5 million euros a year.

At the end of June, however, the adventure in Ligue 1 ends for Harit and then there would actually be a return to Gelsenkirchen. Regardless of which league S04 will play in next season, it is questionable whether this will happen. Harit himself now explained to the French media the current status of his very personal question about the future.

“The talks will inevitably come at the end of the season, then we’ll see,” said the midfielder after the 4-1 win against Stade Brest at the weekend, in which he contributed a goal and an assist.

Previously, Harit had hardly been considered in the past few weeks, was not even in the squad in the previous four games and was only on the bench three times. Looking further back, (mostly) only short deployments can be recorded.

A situation that Harit does not like. “It’s difficult when you’re not playing,” emphasized the 24-year-old.

Where Harit could be used more regularly from summer 2022 is still open. Before his move to Marseille, Galatasaray, Everton FC, Villarreal FC and several Italian clubs were said to have been interested. Whether these Harit still have on the radar, however, is open.
