In Amsterdam, on the eve of the Dutch team’s first World Cup match, there is little sign of the usual football madness. Hardly any flags, hardly any decorated streets. But anyone who drives further north will discover that the orange fever still exists. The search ultimately ends in Volendam, where 24-year-old Cees Sier has converted his living room into a complete mini-stadium for the Netherlands-Japan match.
