56

21:45

After winning the ball in the center, a strong pass arrives at Tietz, who, however, does not get the ball decisively pressed from 15 meters. The ball slips over his instep and clearly goes over the Auer Tor. Kick off FCE.

54

21:43

Aue stands low and plays for damage limitation, while the lilies are nowhere near as quick as they were in the first round. The game is much calmer now.

51

21:42

After a Kempe corner from the right, the FCE defense can clarify.

49

21:38

At least for now, Messeguem can move on. He returns to the field. Let’s continue in eleven-on-eleven.

48

21:38

Soufiane Messeguem tries to block a high ball from Fabian Holland and buckles badly. He needs treatment on the field. This does not look good.

46

21:35

The teams are back on the field. While Darmstadt continue unchanged, Strauss and Trujić remain in the dressing room at FCE. Hochscheidt and Fandrich take over. Go on.

Kick-off 2nd half

45

21:19

Mid-term conclusion:
Pause whistle at Böllenfalltor. Darmstadt leads 4-0 against completely overwhelmed guests from the Ore Mountains, which probably seals the relegation of the Saxons. The Lilien started powerfully, but had difficulties against Auer, who initially defended with concentration, to get dangerously in front of the goal from the game. Danger only arose from set pieces before Pfeiffer made it 1-0 with a strong shot from the edge of the penalty area (16′). The goal worked. Twice in a row, the FCE issued invitations to the southern Hessians in the form of bad passes to follow up, which the promotion candidate gratefully accepted. Within just three minutes it was 3-0, from which the Saxons, who only half-heartedly worked backwards in front of the fourth goal, could not recover.

45

21:17

Official stoppage time (minutes): 1

44

21:15

The FCE swim towards the break whistle. The lilies are still in the mood and continue to play forward with merciless speed after winning the ball.

41

21:13

And Darmstadt again. Holland unpacks a dry drop kick from 16 meters with a brilliant shooting technique, which still touches the outer post. Not much is missing here and it is 5:0.

39

21:10

Tim Skarke

Tooor for SV Darmstadt 98, 4:0 by Tim Skarke

After losing the ball in midfield, no Auer player follows up. Manu is losing three opponents and could in principle do it alone. Instead, he still has an eye for the free Skarke and puts the hit on his opponent, who only has to push the ball over the line from a short distance, to make it 4:0. How half-heartedly the Saxons work backwards in this situation unfortunately gives a deep insight.

38

21:10

Zolinski works his way to the baseline on the left, but can no longer get the cross from there and stumbles the ball into the goal. There is absolutely nothing to be seen from the guests from the Ore Mountains in an offensive manner.

36

21:07

Everyone expects a cross from a free-kick from the inside right, but rascal Kempe simply executes it directly. The ball comes sharp and high to the Auer Tor, where Klewin gets the ball wiped over the crossbar. The following corner then slips through to the second post, where Pfeiffer misses.

34

21:05

The Saxons have a longer ball possession phase for the first time, but do not come up to the third of the lilies. Furthermore, it is total one-way street football in the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor.

31

21:02

Bader pulls from the second row. This right-footed shot from 18 meters is not bad either, but just misses the left corner of the goal.

28

21:00

Almost the 4:0. After another corner kick from the right, Aue doesn’t get the ball away. In the end it is Holland, who runs to the baseline on the left in the sixteen and then shoots from a very acute angle to the far corner. The low shot is good, but rushes a few centimeters past the post. Push off Aue.

25

20:57

Kempe brings a corner from the left up into the five-meter area, where Klewin doesn’t really have sovereignty. He only lets the ball clap in the crowd, which has no consequences, however, because the people in front resolutely hit the ball away. Nevertheless, the violets hardly get beyond the middle line.

22

20:55

The Hessians continue to pursue and put the guests from the Ore Mountains under merciless pressure. The FCE is currently only taking place defensively and can hardly catch a breath.

19

20:51

Braydon Manu

Tooor for SV Darmstadt 98, 3:0 by Braydon Manu

What’s going on here? Aue breaks apart completely within three minutes and ice-cold Südhessen increase to 3:0 within a very short time. Again, it’s a defensive error. This time Messeguem loses the ball against Honsak. The ball lands over Pfeiffer and Tietz in the course of Skarke, who then unpacks a dry art shot from a half-right position. At full speed he nails the ball with a full instep in the top left corner.

18

20:49

Tim Skarke

Tooor for SV Darmstadt 98, 2:0 by Tim Skarke

Shortly after the opening goal, it gets even worse for FCE, because Darmstadt immediately increases to 2-0. After a defensive mistake by the Saxons – Cacutalua makes a bad bad pass – Tietz can immediately put through for the free Skarke, who runs alone to Klewin and sinks the ball safely and uncompromisingly in the bottom right corner.

16

20:48

Luca Pfeiffer

Tooor for SV Darmstadt 98, 1:0 by Luca Pfeiffer

The home side take a 1-0 lead. Tietz initially loses the ball in attack, but Kempe immediately follows up, recovers the ball and puts it through for Pfeiffer. He doesn’t hesitate for long at the edge of the penalty area and simply pulls the left to the lower left corner. Klewin stretches in vain. The ball goes over the line over the inside post.

13

20:45

After another corner ball, the lilies get their first really good opportunity. After a short corner, Skarke occupies the backcourt and gets the ball at the penalty spot. His low shot from the right is parried on the line with a strong reflex by Klewin, who is there despite poor visibility.

11

20:43

The FCE also worked out the first corner kick. However, Soufiane Messeguem’s ball, which was pulled too close to the goal, is a treat for Marcel Schuhen, who grabs it safely and can hold the ball effortlessly.

10

20:42

In the subsequent corner kick, Kempe pulls the ball too sharply in front of the goal. Klewin works his way up and can rectify the situation with a fist defence. Zolinski can even start a counterattack, but can’t get through by dribbling alone.

9

20:41

Gonther clears against Tietz for a corner. Holland pulls the stationary ball from the left up to the second post, where Pfeiffer heads back to the left post. There, however, the FCE defense can clear the next corner.

6

20:38

The first conclusion of the game belongs to the southern Hesse. Gjasula’s shot is not really dangerous. The Darmstadt player closes from the second row in the supine position. A case for the grandstand.

4

20:36

The lilies take matters into their own hands right from the start. But the Saxons also press up. No team has yet made dangerous representations in the opposing penalty area. The sampling phase is still generously skipped.

1

20:31

The ball rolls in Darmstadt. The hosts play in blue shirts over white shorts. The guests from the Ore Mountains are dressed all in orange. Here we go.

20:03

The two teams have faced each other eleven times in a competitive match and the record speaks for the Darmstadt team, who have won eight of these eleven games (one draw, two defeats). The southern Hesse not only won the first leg in the Ore Mountains 2-1, but have also won all five home games against the Saxons with a total of 9-1 goals.

19:58

In the case of the eleven, who are now clinging to the very last straw and should get the away win in Darmstadt, the Auer coaching team is counting on a total of three changes compared to the 2-2 win against Rostock. Sören Gonther, John-Patrick Strauss and Anthony Barylla replace Prince Owusu (suspended), Erik Majetschak and Antonio Jonjic (neither in the squad).

19:53

After four defeats in a row two weeks ago, FC Erzgebirge Aue already looked like they were sure to be relegated. But then the Saxons collected four out of six possible points from their last two league games against Heidenheim and Rostock. FCE scored twice in both games. However, the starting position is not really rosy. With a significantly worse goal difference, taking into account the previous results, Dynamo Dresden are eight points behind. The violets consequently need three victories in the final sprint and also have to hope that the SGD no longer scores.

19:47

Torsten Lieberknecht’s eleven managed to turn the tide last Saturday. The Hessians celebrated an important 2-1 away win at FC St. Pauli, which we have to build on today. The Lilien coach therefore has little reason for changes and leaves it at one change: Braydon Manu returns to the starting eleven after the yellow card suspension has been paid off. Marvin Mehlem initially takes a seat on the bench.

19:41

Darmstadt is not overly in form in the home game. The southern Hesse have only won two of their last six league games (one draw, three defeats) and gambled away their good starting position in the promotion race with only seven out of a possible 18 points. In the last home game in the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor, there was also a really big setback when the Lilien lost 5-2 to FC Schalke the week before last.

19:35

As an exception, the top game of the week rounds off the game day on Saturday, as there will be no game on tomorrow’s work day. The last encounter of the 32nd matchday brings a lot of explosive power. The Saxons need the away win in Darmstadt. Even with a draw, relegation to the 3rd division would be irrefutable. The lilies, on the other hand, could profit from the blunder of Bremen with a home win, overtake the troupe from the Weser and take second place. The competition should follow this match with correspondingly great interest.

19:30

Good evening and a warm welcome from the Merck Stadium at Böllenfalltor. Here, SV Darmstadt 98 welcomes FC Erzgebirge Aue at 8:30 p.m. as part of the 32nd match day of the 2nd Bundesliga.
