Nice didn’t get off to the starting blocks quite as well as today’s opponents. In the opening game they played 1-1 against Lille OSC. On the second matchday the same result against FC Lorient. Les Aiglons also failed to win in the third attempt. After 90 minutes they played a goalless draw against Olympique Lyon. Before the international break, the team, led by Francesco Farioli, who took over in July, achieved their first three points. At home they beat Racing Strasbourg 2-0. With six points in their account, they are currently in eighth place in the table.

The reigning champions from Paris got off to a good start in the new season. At the start, the capital club played 0-0 against FC Lorient. On the second matchday, PSG couldn’t get more than a 1-1 draw against cup winners FC Toulouse. The team under new coach Luis Enrique then celebrated two wins in a row. A 3-1 win against RC Lens was followed by a 4-1 triumph over Olympique Lyon. This means that the Parisians are currently in second place with eight points behind AS Monaco. Superstar Mbappé scored five of the eight goals scored. But since September 1st, he is no longer the only one who is supposed to pose a goal threat. Paris signed Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt for 95 million euros. The Frenchman could make his debut today.
