Who will take the trophy?
The title would be historic for Poland, as the country has not yet won a trophy in either the Billie Jean King Cup or the Davis Cup. Germany has won the women’s competition, formerly known as the Fed Cup, twice (1987 and 1992), as well as appearing in five finals. Germany has never won the Davis Cup, but has also reached the final five times. In last year’s United Cup, Poland reached the semi-finals against the eventual winners from the USA, while Germany was already eliminated after the group stage.

Who is competing?
Team Poland has nominated its top players Hubert Hurkacz and Iga Swiatek. Laura Siegemund will certainly compete for Germany, with Maximilian Marterer registered at her side.
