LIVE NH Sport with FC Eindhoven – Telstar

World Cup or not, football will still be played in the first division tonight. Telstar plays the away match against FC Eindhoven. The kick-off is already at 6.45 pm. You can follow the game live on NH Radio.

Including tonight’s game, Telstar has three more games scheduled until the winter break. After FC Eindhoven-away, home games against FC Den Bosch (December 11) and MVV Maastricht (December 16) will follow.

Close to each other

Depending on the results of those matches, it will become clear whether the Velsenaren will finish 2022 in a good position in the ranking. At the moment, many teams are close to each other and it can still go either way. The lead over Helmond Sport (penultimate) is only four points; the gap with number six Young AZ is only five points.

Last week, the team of trainer Mike Snoei played 0-0 against ADO The Hague. That was already the seventh draw in this competition.

Last season, the away match against FC Eindhoven ended in 1-1. The now departed Rashaan Fernandes then made the equalizer in the final phase. Ozan Kökçü and Sven van Doorm wore the Telstar shirt in that match, but are basic players at FC Eindhoven this season.

Club record

If Telstar does not lose tonight, the White Lions will extend their unbeaten series to nine games. The club record stands at thirteen games and was set in the second half of the ’63/64 season.

Whether Telstar will also survive against the current number four of the first division, you will hear from reporter Erik-Jan Brinkman. You can hear it between 6.30 pm and 7 pm in Spitstijd and afterwards in NH Sport. Presentation: Robbert van den Heuvel.
