LIVE | Major price outliers at tech funds such as Amazon give Wall Street nice profits

Wall Street closed with small gains, with technology funds excelling. Amazon, Microsoft and Apple remained trendsetters. The AEX closed 1 percent lower in Amsterdam, driven by the downturn at ASML and ING in particular. UMG remained the daily winner thanks to strong quarterly results. The dollar strengthened, as did oil, but gold fell and interest rates rose.
