As expected, Van Persie threw his team over again considerably compared to the 1-0 League League match at Sporting Braga on Wednesday.
Only goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther, Malcolm Jeng, Oussama Targhalline and Quinten Timber from the basic setup in Portugal also start in Groningen. Van Persie has reserved a base place for Luciano Valente. The midfielder was taken over from FC Groningen last summer and plays in midfield with Targhalline and Timber.
