“Assuming that everything goes as it should, and that will happen, I want to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, with their endurance, courage and intelligence to put an end to what should be called ‘the 12-day war’. This is a war that could have lasted for years and could have destroyed the entire Middle East!”
Trump adds that the ceasefire has to go into Israeli times around 7 am, after Israel and Iran have finished and completed their “last missions”. “Iran will officially initiate the ceasefire and after 12 hours Israel will start the ceasefire and after 24 hours the world will officially greet the end of the 12-day war,” writes the US president. “During every ceasefire, the other party will remain peaceful and respectful.”
“God blessed Israel, God blessed Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America and God bless the world!”, Trump concludes the report.
The Iranian Foreign Minister ABBAS ARAQCHI said on Tuesday that there is currently no cease-fire agreement with Israel, but that Tehran has no intention of continuing his attacks when Israel stops “with his illegal aggression”.
“As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel started the war against Iran and not the other way around,” Araqchi said in a message on X, shortly after Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed a truce. “The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be taken later,” Araqchi concluded the message.
