Lions take point in final seconds, HandbaL Venlo loses | 1Limburg

In the second round of the competition in the HandbalNL League, Bevo beat Quintus and Lions drew against Hurry Up. In the women’s league, HandbaL Venlo lost against Quintus in the Eredivisie and V&L took a big hit against Kwiek.

Kembit Lions shared the points with Hurry Up 25-25. In Zwartemeer, the score was tied at 6-6, but then the home team took some distance. The team from Sittard trailed 13-7, but narrowed the gap to 13-10 at halftime.
After the break, the difference increased again. At 20-15, Christoph Jauernik called his men to the side for consultation, after which Lions came back to 25-24. Twenty seconds before the end, Thomas Dekker equalized and Lions still took a point.

Win for Bevo
The men of Herpertz Bevo had two points left over from the away match against Quintus. Halfway through the game in Kwintsheul, the team of Danny van Katwijk and Lambert van Berlo led 12-14. Even after the resumption, Quintus and Bevo kept each other in balance, but in the end the team from Panningen came out on top.

In the second part of the game, V&L increased the score and the difference. The Geleen women turned out to be a size too big for the visitor, who were sent home with a 36-19.

The women of Cabooter HandbaL Venlo, leader in Championship Group B, lost 30-28 to Quintus in the Westland. HandbaL Venlo cleared a 4-1 deficit and led 13-15 at halftime.
After the restart, Quintus bent the score again and with ten minutes to play, the difference had grown to five points. The battle seemed over, but coach Robin Gielen’s team came back strong and equalized two minutes before the end: 28-28. In the final phase Quintus scored two more times and brought back the tension in this championship group with a 30-28 victory.

HandbaL Venlo remains the leader in this championship group with seven points from three matches. Quintus follows on one point.
