Linkin Park is giving away fish sandwiches. The band has come up with something very special for their concert stops in Hamburg: In addition to hoodies and T-shirts, their pop-up merchandising stand also offers a classic North German delicacy. If you want the Linkin Park fish sandwich on the house, you have to be quick.
A pop-up store is opening in Hamburg for the two concerts in Hamburg on June 1st and 3rd. Between June 1st at 11 a.m. and June 3rd at 7 p.m., fans can pick up more than just limited edition merchandise at the Underdocks seafood restaurant, Neuer Kamp 13. Fish sandwiches are served there to match the location – and the first 100 pieces per day are free. If you get there early, with a bit of luck you can get a fish sandwich from Linkin Park – the queues are expected to be long.
Karaoke and surprise prizes on the day off
Even more surprises await Hamburg: Anyone who has nothing planned on June 2nd, the day between the two concerts, can sing karaoke together with other Linkin Park fans from 5 p.m. in the “Thai Oase”, Große Freiheit 40. There is also free food there: 100 pizzas are given out to visitors free of charge. There are also “prizes”. What exactly is behind these mysterious prices remains unclear. The same applies here: first come, first served. Spaces are limited and will certainly sell like hot cakes – er, fish sandwiches.
Fan reactions and merchandise in the pop-up store
The rock band’s announcement is met with anticipation but also confusion in the Instagram comments: “Can you only buy fish sandwiches or also hoodies, shirts and records?!” In any case, it will be more than just a fast food stand. The pop-up store will offer limited editions of Linkin Park fan items. The Instagram posting doesn’t reveal anything more.
A new concept of the “From Zero Tour”
The “Local Events” appear to be a new concept for the “From Zero Tour” that has only been introduced since the European leg of the tour. At the first stop in Stockholm there were free cinnamon rolls, now fish rolls in Hamburg. In any case, Linkin Park has served the regional food clichés. During the tour in Australia so far there have been no signs of such special local events.
