From Zero was released in November 2024. Linkin Park has now announced an extended edition of the record with three bonus songs for May 16, 2025. The new track “Up from the Bottom” is one of them. In mid-March, the NU metalers already shared a small foretaste of Instagram. With the “iheart Radio Awards” Joe Hahn revealed that in his opinion it was the best song the band has ever recorded. Band colleague Mike Shinoda added: “In my opinion, it is one of the best videos we have ever had.”

In his Instagram story, Shinoda told his followers: “The band came together in my studio between the origin of the song: When we heard the demos, everyone agreed that we did not have the song that we needed. While we talked, I scribbled notes. When everyone went home, I started to put things together on the piano. I pulled on the threads of the unclear ideas as obsessed until a special emerging. “
He continued: “One of the most satisfactory things I can experience is the moment when I play a new song for my band – in the knowledge that he is unfinished, but in the confidence that he will be something special. A huge thank you to my bandmates for your ideas, inspiration and outstanding performance with this song – and an @Joehahnlp for another crazy video.”
