Lily-Rose Depp: Body shaming comments about visible nipples

Countless hate comments on social media – but fans defend the actress.

Lily-Rose Depp is open Instagram released a series of photos showing her in blurred light in a kitchen. She is wearing knee-high stockings, a beige ruffled skirt and a gray, tight polo shirt. Many of her followers are outraged by the pictures and share harsh words in the Instagram comments column. Why are they outraged? The actress shows a lot of skin in the photos and her nipples are visible through the shirt.

Almost 7,000 comments have already been added to the series of images – many of which have over thousands of likes. After the photos went online, it didn’t take long for body-shaming comments to accumulate under the post. “This must be unpleasant for your family,” they say. Or also: “I feel like this is basically pornography 💀💀💀” and “I am disgusted after seeing these pictures”. Another comment: “There is nothing beautiful or artistic about these photos! Neither the very suggestive poses, nor the body, nor the choice of clothing, nor that expression on that pale face! It’s a shame that you show yourself like that on social networks at this age!”

After more and more hate comments appeared under the 24-year-old’s pictures, more fans became aware and stood up for Lily-Rose Depp. One follower said: “Apparently having good bone structure and a cute outfit is enough to get bullied mercilessly on Instagram. People make me sad. “This is a beautiful woman who feels comfortable in her own skin.” Another appealed: “Love how quickly people judge a woman if she doesn’t hide her nipples, while men can show them at any time and it’s accepted. Our nipples have an actual purpose, after all. Why should we be the ones who have to hide them?”

Lily-Rose Depp has not yet commented on the insults in her post. The daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis is currently leaving the post online, including the comment function.
