Lille Airport is expanding and wants to attract even more West Flemish people

The general manager gave a press conference in Kortrijk this afternoon with the ambitions of the airport, which is expanding considerably. This involves an investment of 160 million euros.

Lille airport will be given a new look in a few years and that already includes a new logo. Today, the infrastructure allows 2.5 million passengers, that will be 4 million. The airport focuses on hospitality and sustainability. From Lille airport you can currently visit 54 destinations. Recently, Venice, Marrakesh and four new Canary Islands have also been added.

Marc-André Gennart, Aéroport de Lille: “West Flemish people and residents in the south of Belgium live really close to Lille airport. We absolutely want to let you know that our door is open and that we have many destinations to the south. Why choose Lille and not Brussels, for example? There is much less traffic. It is also closer. You can also take the train and then the bus. There are constant connections between the two train stations and the airport. At the airport, handling takes a very short time, between 5 and 10 minutes.”
