In the dispute over the occupation of the vacant managing director post at Hannover 96, the shareholders around the long-time club boss Martin Kind submitted an application to the district court of Hanover.
This was confirmed by a spokesman for the district court on Monday evening. First the “picture” reported about it. The background is that the second division soccer team will have to submit its license for the coming season at the German Football League (DFL). And this application needs the signature of a managing director.
The DFL license code says: The “written application” must be signed “by the applicant’s authorized body. In a corporation like Hannover 96 GmbH & Co. KGAA, the managing director meets this prerequisite. A authorized representative like the current sports director Marcus Mann doesn’t.
In this case, the big problem of Hannover 96 is the ongoing dispute between the mother club and the outsourced professional football company. Because since the dismissal of the long -time managing director and majority shareholder Martin Kind, both sides have not been able to agree on the appeal of one or two new managing directors in the past eight months.
Sports chief man rumbles against mother club
Sports director Mann is the desired candidate on the capital side. The monthly hanging area and the resulting time pressure in the licensing process arranged the 40-year-old on Saturday weekend before the 2-1 victory of 96 at the 1st FC Nürnberg to an anger speech on the TV broadcaster “Sky”.
“This condition is unbearable. If we continue like this, these people will drive both the EV and the professional department against the wall,” said Mann to the address of the mother’s club. The sports director committed in 2021 even threatened to say goodbye to this season: At some point the time was reached “where the circus is no longer participated”.
Club side has Managing Director-Indem
The club side reacted to the allegations of men and announced in a press release: there was a managing director candidate on which all four members of the supervisory board of the association and the capital were able to agree. Only the signatures of the capital side were missing.
The dispute here is that the representatives of the Hannover 96 EV want to install these candidates as the sole managing director and the representatives of the professional football area see him as the second managing director alongside Marcus Mann.
