The fourteen liberation festivals that are held every year on 5 May have been saved. Earlier they feared that they no longer received a subsidy from the government, but on the eve of the National Commemoration, State Secretary Vincent Karremans (Youth, Prevention and Sport) promises them to support them in an interview in De Telegraaf for a longer period of time.
