Letizia of Spain in red and with a diamond tiara for the gala

Letizia of Spain and her husband Felipe hosted a state banquet in honor of the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, and his wife, Verónica Alcocer, on a state visit to Madrid.

The “reina” stood out: she wore a red haute couture dress with floral tiara.

Letizia of Spain, Carolina Herrera look

Red, as we know by now, is the fetish color of the Spanish queen. The look has a crew neck, bodice and short peplum sleeves and is by Carolina Herrera, one of the brands most worn by Letizia.

Mellerio’s floral tiara is among the Crown Jewels. The queen wears it, very nonchalantly, like a headband.

The precious dates back to 1867 and is composed of three flowers. It belonged to the former Queen Sofia: she was given it as a gift by the Spanish government for her wedding to Juan Carlos.

Apparently she is the favorite of the seven tiaras she has available.

The bow-shaped brooch

Letizia of Spain then wore the bow-shaped brooch, made with diamonds. It originally belonged to Queen María Cristina of Austria, great-grandmother of King Juan Carlos I.
