CHester, 24 Jul. (askanews) – Small and very sweet like a kitten, but the rare leopard puppy of the snow already has the proud gaze of the king of felines. It is the first specimen to be born at the Chester Zoo, in the United Kingdom, in its 94 years of history.

Nubra, mom for the first time, gave birth to the puppy on June 10, 2025 and since then the couple has been practically inseparable as the images of the hidden cameras document.

Nubra and the father of the puppy, Yashin, were made to pair in 2024 as part of an international reproduction program for conservation. The puppy is now six weeks and is in otitma health.
Nevi Leopardi are classified as vulnerable to the insinction from the international union for the conservation of nature, with just 4,000 specimens remained in nature.
