Arsenal rose to an extra time for a valuable 2-1 away win. Arsenal was clearly a better team in Newcastle. Still, the cannonmen was a loss of most of the league and possibly missed unless Mikel Merino had pushed a stunning 1-1 draw just six minutes before full time.
