Latvia Coach Dainis Kazakevics and player Janis Ikaunieks made statements at the press conference held before the match against Turkey in EURO 2024 Qualifiers Group D.
Coach Dainis Kazakevics, regarding the match to be played tomorrow, said, “We know Turkey very well. It will actually be the 4th match we will play with them. Türkiye is of course in a state of change with the arrival of the new coach Montella. We analyzed Turkey especially in the Croatia match. We know that it is a very valuable victory for them. Of course, it is not possible to fully reflect our thoughts here regarding tomorrow’s match. But we know what we have to do. “We are aware of what we need to achieve, what we need to achieve, and this is how we will play tomorrow’s match,” he said.
JANIS IKAUNIEKS: TURKISH PLAYERS ARE AT A HIGHER LEVEL
Janis Ikaunieks stated that Turkish football players are at a higher level and said:
