Later shock: Mainz 05 loses – and has to tremble

The FSV makes Rosenborg despair for a long time, a Mainz hits with a remarkable goal – later the var. The final phase becomes dramatic.

A very bitter defeat for Mainz 05-the return to a European Cup main round after almost nine years is on the brink. In the first leg of qualification for the Conference League at the Norwegian record champion Rosenborg Trondheim, FSV lost 1-2 (1: 1) after 1-0 lead.

Nadiem Amiri, with a dream goal, scored a good 25 meters of the Mainz lead (26th), Dino Islamovic equalized for the Norwegians (43.).
