On Wednesday evening a fire broke out in the outbuilding of restaurant Boshuys Hermitage on the Poshoornseweg in Oisterwijk. Several fire brigades have been pulled out to help extinguish. It is not yet clear how the fire started.

The fire broke out in the forests outside the center around a quarter to eleven in the evening. The fire brigade of Oisterwijk and Haaren were quickly on the spot. Corps from Tilburg, Helvoirt, Moergestel and Diessen were also alerted, including for a platform and an extra water transport.

The outbuilding is right next to the restaurant and a home. The fire brigade has prevented the fire from being skipped on these two buildings. The outbuilding has since been completely lost.

Asylum seekers center
There is also an asylum seekers’ center near Boshuys Hermitage. According to the safety region, the wind was not in that direction. So the smoke went the other way. People from the AZC had no inconvenience.

A little before midnight the fire was under control and not much later the signal was given. The fire brigade remains on site to extinguish.
