Large fire broke out in riding school in Schoorl

A fire broke out in a riding school at the Omloop in Schoorl tonight. It would probably concern a breeding of top show jumping horses. The fire is now under control, a few horses have been injured.

According to a spokesman for the security region, there was a large fire. Emergency services are currently flocking to extinguish the fire.

The fire started in an inner hall where hay and straw bales are stored. “A number of horses were connected to this hall,” says the spokesperson. “They were all taken out by the fire brigade.” A number of horses have suffered injuries and are being checked by a vet.

Under control

The spokesperson indicates that the fire ‘appears under control’, according to him there is little smoke. No people were injured.

It would probably be Stal Klaver, where jumping horses are bred. NH previously reported about the company, which, among other things top showjumping horses for the Olympic Games bred in Rio de Janeiro.
