A fire broke out just before midnight on Tuesday evening in a house on Pastoor Thijssenlaan in Sterksel. The residents managed to leave the house on time. No one was injured, but part of the house was badly damaged.
The fire mainly raged in the attic. A few years ago the house was also badly damaged by a fire.
Retreat
The fire brigade had to withdraw from the house ‘because of the heat and fire expansion’, the safety region reports around a quarter past twelve.
Around a quarter past twelve the fire was sprouting and the fire was extinguished with the help of a platform. Around an hour the fire was under control. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
