Lambert Hofer takes over shirt manufacturer Arido

Lambert Hofer GmbH takes over the Lower Austrian shirt and blouse manufacturer Arido.

In addition to a costume rental, the traditional Viennese company Lambert Hofer also owns the shirt label Gloriette. From now on, with Arido, another manufacturer is part of the company, confirmed Lambert Hofer Managing Director Peter Hofer by email on Friday. The Austrian textile newspaper had previously reported on the takeover.

Both Arido and Gloriette will continue to operate independently on the market, but the production capacities of the two brands will be combined. Arido currently produces around 100,000 parts per year, and Gloriette is said to have twice as many.

The Austrian shirt company approached Lambert Hofer with a takeover bid, according to Hofer, who also confirms that all 20 Arido employees have been taken on. The number of employees in the existing Gloriette plant in Hungary is to be doubled in the medium term.
