Getafe FC have extended Mauro Arambarri’s expiring contract. The 27-year-old Uruguayan international has signed a new deal until June 30, 2028. With a market value of €15m, the midfielder is the second most valuable player in coach Quique Sánchez Flores’ team, behind Enes Ünal (€25; 25m), against fighting the descent.
Arambarri first joined Getafe on loan from CA Boston River in 2017 and was signed a year later for €2.15m. The central midfielder has made 180 appearances for the Madrid suburban club, in which he has contributed six goals and twelve assists. Arambarri has appeared just seven times this season due to an ankle injury.
