Success for Santiago Buitrago in the 63rd edition of the Laigueglia Trophy. The 26-year-old Colombian from Bahrain-Victorious, who in the past won the Giro d’Italia (in 2023) on the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, won by detachment, confirming the good start of the season for his team. Second place for the French Gregoire, of Groupama, and third for Antonio Tiberi, Buitrago’s teammate who will return to the Gazzetta race this year. Fourth was Diego Ulissi, of XDS-Astana. Now the Italian calendar continues on Saturday with the Strade Bianche, in Siena, where Tadej Pogacar will make his seasonal debut.
