French clothing retailer Lacoste has appointed Catherine Spindler as Deputy CEO on Monday. In her new function, she will in future “drive forward the premium orientation of the unique French brand at the interface of sport and fashion” and “strengthen the clarity and consistency of the brand statement in all markets and sales channels,” said the company, which belongs to the MF Brands Group fashion group With.

Spindler joined Lacoste in 2019 and was previously Chief Brand Officer. Previously, she held various leadership roles at cosmetics suppliers Guerlain and Yves Rocher, and online fashion retailer Veepee.

CEO Thierry Guibert highlighted the merits of his new deputy: “Catherine Spindler’s appointment comes after three years of service to the brand, which have allowed us to breathe new life into the collections, increasing their appeal and global impact, as well as strengthening our CSR to further increase requirements and obligations,” he said in a statement. “I’m delighted to have Catherine at my side to continue the development of Lacoste and support our quest to become the most inspirational brand in fashion-sports.”
