FC Barcelona easily won the catch-up game of the 27th match day of the first Spanish football league against Ca Osasuna 3-0 (2-0). The game was postponed on March 8 on March 8th because of the sudden death of the only 40-year-old Barca glue bar, Carles Miñarro Garcia.
The club leadership of the Catalans also criticized the appointment on Thursday (February 27th, 2025) because of the national team constitutions. A new postponement was rejected by La Liga. For example, since Robert Lewandowski returned to Malta to Spain very late from Poland’s international match, chief coach Hansi Flick initially left him on the bench.
Barca’s offensive works without Lewandowski
Barca’s offensive game against the guests from northern Spain fighting against the descent, the lack of the Poland did not detract. The home side who tried deeply again and again took the lead early: the Alejandro Balde, staged with a long pass on the left, played the ball sharply in front of the guests. Ferran Torres, who was already successful with two goals against Atletico Madrid, successfully slipped into the cross with perfect timing and took the lead for Barcelona.
The second goal had to go like a gift from the impartial: former Leipzig Dani Olmo entered the penalty area with the ball at the foot, Osasunas keeper Sergio Herrera came out of his goal and Olmo was looking for contact. The goalkeeper parried the first penalty, kicked by Olmo, but then the penalty repeated because of a player, who was repeated too early in 16, then sank Olmo in goal (21st). A little later Olmo had to get out of the game with a muscle injury.
Osasuna aggressively more than harmless
Osasuna remained almost harmless. FC Barcelona decided early on not to invest too much anymore and still stayed off the opponent. Torres failed on the crossbar (39th) during a free kick chance from about 23 meters from about 23 meters.
In the second section of the game, Ca Osasuna first seemed to want to make a little more forward. A header chance from Herrando from eight meters stroked the left post of the Barca goal, which was held by Ter-Stegen representative Wojciech Szczesny. But much more did not come from the guests.
Lewandowski also carries in the Scorer list a
Then Lewandowski still had something in mind. Ten minutes after his substitution in the 67th minute. After an offensive error by the guests, Barca countered “Zack, Zack”: Pablo Torre quickly struck a long ball to the right on Fermin, who flanked inside with an enormous feeling. And then there was a Polish center forward who did what he had previously done in La Liga 22 times: he hit the opposing goal. His walking path – unpredictable, his header – unsustainable.
FC Barcelona confidently collected three more points and set out for three points from pursuer Real Madrid.
