Nascar legend Kyle Bush died unexpectedly at the age of 41. The family has now announced the cause of death.
Two days after Kyle Busch’s unexpected death, the Nascar star’s family shared more details about the tragic events. The American was admitted to hospital with severe pneumonia, which then developed into life-threatening sepsis.
This led to “rapid associated complications,” the family’s statement said on Saturday: “We continue to ask for your understanding and privacy during this difficult time.”
Racing series is planning a special campaign
Busch died on Thursday at the age of 41. The two-time Cup Series champion was one of the greatest drivers in history in his sport, just in his 22nd season in Nascar’s top division.
Busch’s family and his team, Richard Childress Racing, initially announced his hospitalization on Thursday morning. A few hours later he was informed of his death. The Nascar race in Charlotte, North Carolina, is scheduled to take place on Sunday as planned. In memory of Busch, every vehicle in the starting field will have a sticker with the starting number 8.
