Kuleba refused to comply with the Minsk agreements on “Russian terms”

The Minsk agreements cannot be implemented on “Russian terms”. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba during a telephone conversation with UN Secretary General António Guterres, transmits press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian minister, Russia is making attempts to “manipulate the content of the Minsk agreements and promote a distorted vision of their essence.” “He emphasized that the Minsk agreements cannot be implemented on Russian terms,” the statement said.

Foreign Ministry accused Kiev of failing to comply with the Minsk agreements for seven years

Kuleba believes that it is the Russian Federation that is the party to the conflict, therefore Ukraine needs to resolve the situation with it in the south-east of the country, and not with the proclaimed LPR and DPR, which, according to the agreements, Kiev should grant a “special status”.

Ukraine is ready for negotiations on a political and diplomatic settlement with the participation of the Russian side in the Normandy format. In addition, Ukraine is ready to work in other formats and is actively working to activate all negotiation platforms, the minister added.
