Ex-triple jumper Kristiina Mäkelä and her dance teacher Sami Helenius were eliminated from the Dance with the Stars program. Therefore, they will not be seen in the TTK finals in a week.
– It feels sad, but we are really happy about this trip. We knew that this evening would be really challenging, since there are two lap dances and they are not our strengths, Kristiina told Iltalehte after the program.
They dance the rumba and Cha Cha cha. After the first dance, Kristiina, disappointed with her performance, cried.
– The last eight steps in the rumba are annoying. I just couldn’t stay on my feet, I staggered and it became hard vaccinations. It was really upsetting, but we’ve gotten over it and life goes on.

The reason for the wavering was not unclear to Kristiina.
– High heels, and that the calves just weren’t strong enough. This Dancing is challenging, especially for women. I admire female dance teachers when they can stand on two toes at a right angle. It’s really not easy for such a beginner, and that’s probably where it fell now.
Kristiina says that at the beginning of the TTK competition, she would not have believed that she would make it to the semi-finals.
– I knew my own limitations and then exceeded myself week after week. I will be happy to watch the final.
