Dancing with the stars Vappu Pimi, who is retiring as the host of the program, was surprised on Sunday’s live broadcast.
Before the fall, Pimiä gave a speech. Pimi thanked the show’s creators one by one, including past and present co-hosts, judges, make-up artists, stylists, musicians, dancers, judges and members of the production company.

– I can’t do without Vappu, Ernest Lawson commented on Pimiä’s departure.
Finally, Pimiä’s husband Teemu Huuhtanen appeared on the screen. Pimiä’s jaw dropped and he spun his head around frantically. She listened to her husband’s pre-recorded speech with tears in her eyes.
– Hey raksu, you probably didn’t expect this. I wanted to tear up too, because you made such a big decision. All these years, I’ve been watching what he’s doing with the girls. It’s at an incredible level year after year. Now I’m talking from the perspective of the home. How do you manage to always make our breakfasts on Sundays, even though I have to come here to the studio. We have been followed on this journey with such great respect and pride that I wanted to make such an exception from my own point of view. Congratulations on this decision. It’s nice for us to have you home on Sunday, Huuhtanen said.
After the composition ended, the judges and the audience stood up to show their approval to the crying Pimiä.

After the cameras turned off, Pimiä continued her thanks.
– This week has been so exciting. I didn’t know how I was going to survive. This all came as a surprise. Then you put this one behind your back. I will miss these people and the community. Thank you once again, Pimiä said to those present in the studio.
