Kristiina Komulainen, 46, a familiar presenter who works as a criminal investigator, says she recovered from borreliosis.
– I feel like I got my life back, he tells Iltalehti.
In retrospect, Komulainen had a different symptom for a long time. Even before 2019, he had a bad memory of his studies at the Police Academy. Things that sound familiar did not combine the right thing. For example, computer program names “Excel” or “Word” sounded familiar, but Komulainen still didn’t realize what they meant. The pipes did not merge.
– It was pretty crazy.
In addition, the Komulian was so much awkward, there was a pain around the body and eventually fatigue fluttered in infernal.
– I was in the darra of less than a year, he describes the time before the diagnosis.
Other people also noticed over the years that not everything was fine. Komulainen sought help along the way, but he started to find out in the spring of last year.
The diagnosis finally became clear in October 2024 – when the fatigue took him for a couple of months to the bed floor.
The treatments started to do surprisingly fast, in addition to a long course of antibiotics, Komulainen says he has received a wide range of care. However, recovery from borreliosis can be wavy. In any case, Komulainen’s energy volume has increased significantly.
– I’m doing very well.
Komulainen does not know where he got borreliosis. It is possible that the case extends to childhood.
– No smell.
Komulainen says that as the symptoms continued for a long time, the condition was kind of accepted. He simply struggled in his studies and at work. Now he wonders about his new state.
– Sometimes it is energy so I wonder if my life was like this before, he laughs.
Because there is enough energy again, Komuli has a busy summer ahead. In addition to the criminal investigator’s work, he returns to Radio Suomipop and works on interaction and conflict solution.
