Krawietz/Pütz continue at the Australian Open

The German Davis Cup doubles Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz are in good form at the Australian Open and are in the quarterfinals.

On Sunday, the duo easily defeated Marcelo Arevalo from El Salvador and Mate Pavic from Croatia 6:3, 6:3 and didn’t let a short rain break stop them on the second match point.

“It’s been a good tournament for us so far. We’re playing at a good level and having fun with our team and our families here,” said Pütz.

They both have their families with them in Melbourne and live together in a house. In the quarterfinals we face the Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.

Krawietz and Pütz have been playing together since the beginning of 2023, their greatest successes are the title at the tournament in Hamburg and reaching the semi-finals in Wimbledon.
