The Christmas tree in Kortrijk is slightly shorter than the one in Oudenaarde, about 15 meters. Still, the city wanted to check whether everything was safe, after several days with strong winds. An expert now says everything is fine.
The city also has sensors placed on the trunk to measure the wind speeds that the tree has to endure.
