Kortrijk distributes the citizen budget again
100,000 euros has been reserved in Kortrijk for the implementation of ideas from Kortrijk residents. The applicants for a project proposal must be four, domiciled in Kortrijk and older than 16 years.
Not the city, but the people of Kortrijk ultimately determine which projects are carried out. This is first done via the Online Budget Game. All residents receive 5 virtual coins that they can use on their 5 favorite projects. The 15 projects that were purchased the most will advance to the final round. A citizens’ jury of 16 inhabitants ultimately chooses which projects receive a budget.
Four projects have already been carried out from the first edition, says the city: including a photo banner at Heule-Watermolen and home delivery Swop & Go.
