The 1st FSV Mainz 05 has given the defensively shaky Augsburgers in the Bundesliga a lesson in terms of coldness – outnumbered and outnumbered.
On Saturday, Mainz duped the FCA 4: 1 (2-0). Kaishu Sano (14th) and Dominik Kohr (26th), who later flew off the square with yellow-red (53.), provided the goals for the Rheinhessen in half one. Paul Nebel (60th) and Armindo Sieb (69.) therefore met for decimated Mainz in the second round. Samuel Essesend (83.) scored the Augsburg honor goal.
For the FCA it is the third defeat in a row. Augsburg initially slips to 15th place with only three points after four games. Mainz now has four points and is moving up to twelve.
Augsburg invites Mainz through capital losses
Right at the beginning of the game, Augsburg’s susceptible defensive again turned out to be Achilles’ heel. The team of the new coach Sandro Wagner had already caught eight goals in three games – more quickly came against Mainz. And that was only the fault of the Augsburg team. Because with two capital losses in midfield, de RFCA Mainz practically invited to score.
First of all, Sano started a hair -raising false pass from Augsburg’s Chrislain Matsima and set the forward gear. The sleepy hosts had the Japanese granted, did not attack him decisively – and Sano precisely hit the net from a good 20 meters of gate removal.
Kohr scored the 2-0 for Mainz just twelve minutes later. Again, a bad pass of the Augsburg was devastating. Fabian Rieder’s pass in the direction of Marius Wolf was too short, Kohr threw in between, left Jeffrey Gouweleeuw left and hit the legs of FCA goalkeeper Finn Dahmen. Sieb almost punished the third thick Augsburg ball loss, but his degree passed (30th).
Raubein Kohr in the footsteps of card king Effenberg
Previously, however, the FCA had also registered with an offensive campaign in the game for the first time. Alexis Claude-Maurice was staged by Han-Noah Massengo and showed a fall back-Mainz ‘goalkeeper Robin Zentner Spitzeln over the crossbeam (20th). It was also Claude-Maurice who awarded the second good FCA chance. He moved after a strong dribbling from an acute angle (36th).
Otherwise, in half one of the Mainz goal scorer Kohr, Kohr ensured a remarkable marginal note. He picked up his 100 yellow card in the Bundesliga – through a foul from behind to Rieder (16th). The 100-card sound wall had broken only Stefan Effenberg in front of him (114 yellow cards).
In fact, this yellow card did not remain, but Kohr still turned into the fifth yellow-red of his Bundesliga career when he cleared mass go in front of his own sixteen in the second round (53.).
Mainz is mercilessly countered by FCA outnumbered
Anyone who thought that Mainz would get into trouble because of the outnumbered outnumbered. Although FCA trainer Wagner had changed four times to change sides, Mainz was also extremely cold in the second round. The busy Sano escaped the stunned Augsburgers in midfield and gave to fog in front of the goal, which only had to insert.
In between, the home side also succeeded in doing something – after a corner kick, Rieder’s header hit the crossbar, Matsima failed in his margin on the brilliantly reacting hundredweight (63.). But FC Augsburg nailed its own chances of catching up with his desolate defense behavior. Nadiem Amiri led over the defense chain to Sano, who found sieve – and this drog the ball to 4-0 into the goal. The 1: 4 volley shot from the sixteen was just a waste.
