Kohl’s appoints former Joules CEO as chief merchandising officer

Further personnel changes are pending at Kohl’s. The US retail group has appointed Nick Jones as Chief Merchandising and Digital Officer. The former CEO of British fashion retailer Joules will take up his new position in March, Kohl’s announced on Thursday.

Reporting to Managing Director Tom Kingsbury, who was appointed in February, Jones will be responsible for merchandising strategy and all merchandising functions, including sourcing, digital and omnichannel merchandising, product design and development, and product portfolio strategy.

With Jones, Kohl’s has gained an experienced merchandiser with over 25 years of professional experience. Prior to becoming Managing Director at ailing fashion retailer Joules, Jones worked for retailer ASDA/Walmart UK for nearly ten years, including positions as Chief Merchant. Previously, he held various merchandising positions at retail chain Marks & Spencer for 15 years.
